Eternal FC 2 - 1 Hade

Goal: Mono,(thin) Albert

"GOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL"
roared Eternal FC players and supporters in unison , barged in to the field in the most barbaric manner, hands punched into the air and Hi-fives exchanged endlessly!!!!!!

A great start for us , we walked away with 3 full, satisfying, gratifying, luscious, heavenly points. To add to Hade's agony, (thin) albert scored cheekily on the verge of the conclusion of the game.

Before I go further blabbering about the match, credits to all Eternal FC players and supporters. Good performance from all of us !

The goal-scorers (from our side): Mono and (thin) Albert.
Bravo to both of you !

Man of the match(editor's pick): Fergus
single handely saved us from conceding a goal and kept the speed demon Felix relatively quiet.

Quote of the week "Mine mine mine... ooopps, saya!" -Chris(just joking buddy)

'The match was very entertaining, both sides battled to claim that rightful 3 points. Every movement of the ball and players were closely monitored by the audience. Both sides had equal share of chances and possessions. After half an hour of intensive battle(or around there), Mono managed to break the deadlock and we were ahead 1-0 by halftime. In 2nd half Hade was able to control more of the ball possession and they were quickly rewarded with a harsh penalty decision. Hade made no mistake from the penalty spot.

That equaliser gave the impetus to our drive to score another goal. In the dying moment, one of their players received the second booking and he was sent off. He also conceded a freekick which probably a mistake he would regret most.

Phillip, our freekick specialist, confidently step up. He crossed an incredible free kick which quickly headed by Albert towards the goal. Unexpetedly, the goalkeeper was quick enough to response and blocked the shot. The rebound quickly found Andrew(aka Kong) but he also managed to hit the goalpost ! Fortunately, Albert was in the right time, in the right place to score that crucial goal.'

What a start to the ISSL-3 campaign !

Deja Vu
Man utd 7- 1 Roma
(Balaclava 7-1 Eternal FC, ring any bell?)

I would like to plead from every Eternal FC player to come for training on the 21st April 2007 , Saturday. It will be the last Saturday to prepare ourself before the league.

But how are we going to prepare if the attendance is alarmingly low? Not only that it affects our regular training session but it will also tumble the team's morale and spirit.

I have identified some major reasons to justify our absence in training:
1. Different expectations/visions in the team and hence different level of committment.
2. Urgent responsibilities to take care of
3. Injuries

Yes, we can understand but we ask a little favour from you, we beg you to come for training on the 21st April ! Settle your tasks, do your assignments, excuse yourself from Saturday dating/outing ! Its now or never !

Finally, our league kick-off date is approaching fast.

First match will fall on the 28th April , Saturday
We'll be playing Hade. Just to refresh your memory, we drew 1-1 with Hade last year.

Hopefully, we'll appear triumphant and walk away with 3 full points.

UEFA Champions League Review

5.45 Wednesday, exclusively at Foxtel

Ac Milan vs Bayern Munich
Editor's pick: Milan
With the arrival of Ronaldo, Milan's frontline is boosted again(since the departure of shevchenko) and with Kaka firing from all cylinders, the german giant is going to have a rough time in san siro.

PSV Eindhoven vs Liverpool
Editor's pick: Liverpool
Liverpool is in red hot form in their recent games. In champions league, they are even more fearful, they beat Barcelona in the last leg ! They cannot afford to be complacent though, PSV is capable of playing top-notch football.

Chelsea vs Valencia
Editor's pick: Valencia
Joaquin and Vicente is going to bombard chelsea's defence ! Chelsea is a strong team but I have a feeling that Valencia is going to outplay them !

Roma vs Man Utd
Editor's pick: Man Utd
Call me bias and partial , but can anyone stop the dazzling skill and flaming hot form of Cristiano Ronaldo at the moment? Add in Scholes and Giggs, United will fire from all cylinders ! Totti is the man to watch in Roma's side though.

Name : Satya
Nationality : Indonesian
Position : Left midfield
Jersey Number : 33

Favourite Team : Juventus
Dream Team-mates : Pavel Nedved
Latecoming-rating : 5/10 (he's humble, usually he's quite punctual)
Brief/Boxer? : Brief

About him....
-On the field: Arguably, one of the most improved player since last year. . He may not be the quickest or strongest player around but his attitude to train definitely encourage and inspire others. He has progressed much since last year, stronger in every attack and and tracked back to help the defence when the opponent has the ball.

Moreover, He arrives early and has a consistent attendance. His fighting spirit and the desire to improve his game is admirable and commendable.

He is also one of very few left footers in our team(in fact he's probably the only one). He could be the next Welsh Wizard(Ryan Giggs) or should we say Indo-Wizard?

-Off the field: He used to be very quiet but not anymore ! Slowly but surely, he will transform either into a bully like Parinya or victim like Jason. However, he may be protected by his future-brother-in-law(Mike) if he ever become a victim.

If you are having your birthday party in Melbourne, he could be around ! Because he's reported to attend birthday parties on every Saturday. Another, social butterfly heh?

Missing link for the left-flank? It could be Satya.

There are a few player's profile to be reviewed( first in line: Satya) but I think I'll put them on hold first.

Instead, let me just give a brief review of Saturday(31/3/2007) friendly with La Trobe

Eternal FC 3-0 La Trobe
Scorer: Anthony, Adam and Phillip(Eternal FC)

I believe we should not be too complacent over the 3-0 victory. There are still big room for improvent in terms of communication and organisation. I agree with what Phillip had said, people in the sideline are capable of giving nasty remarks but sadly, they are true. But let's take the nasty remarks as constructive critisism! Afterall, Rome is not build in a day. Similarly, we have to keep working to be a better team !

Anyway, this is an inspiring start and a fairytale debut for our new manager, Yoko!

Lets gear up and be prepared as the kickoff for ISSL-3 is approaching fast.
