Eternal FC 3-1 LaTrobe Xtreme
Goal: Rusdi, (thin)Albert and Phillip

They say self-confidence is the first requisite to great undertakings. But ,on the other hand, over-confidence can be disastrous.

We almost let that consumed us but fortunately, with a bit more of luck and sheer hard work from everyone, we managed to secure our well deserved victory.

I do think that we were sloppy in couple of occasions and we, no offense to LaTrobe, should have retain more possession and should have deterred their equaliser.
Their equaliser was definitely a wake-up call and we responded well, although we supposedly capable of doing more to LaTrobe given the quality of players at our disposal.

Bravo everyone ! Good play and good supporters (The girls' verbal support week-in and week-out definitely contributed to our success !)

Defence: Dicky, Brian, Jason, Adit and Frederick were commendable. I would like to highlight Fergus, the horse machine, he was the impregnable fortress against LaTrobe attack !

Midfield: Phillip's third goal was a great individual effort, salute ahbang, smoking yet perform well! Mono, Rusdi, Randy, Phillip and Effendy made the biggest impact today. Rusdi almost scored another goal from Phillip's cross.

Attack: Although Adam failed to score today but he constructed a few crazy passes (or should I say through balls). Playing up solo, he was greatly outnumbered by many defenders and they fail to tame him!

Last but not least, Andrew, Yoko and The Batam-wonderkid made a short appearance(each of us ).

Goal Scorer: Rusdi, (thin) Albert, Phillip
Man of the match: (thin) Albert
Allow me to describe how he scored the second goal in one word- Luck.
Lady luck must have blessed him! Nevertheless, the second goal to put us ahead and lift our confidence back. In addition, given his superior pace and ball control, he was constantly a threat to LaTrobe back four.

Next week, we have a big task at hand. Balaclava? We are definitely up to the challenge.

Eternal FC 1-2 Buffalo
Goal : Thin Albert (aka Bawel)

We should reflect on the mistake we made today and learn to correct them.
But we should never turn back and mourn for too long. Instead, we have to pick ourself up and concentrate on the next few matches. Losing is always hard to accept but it is part and parcel of a soccer team. Many teams fail to do that.

Eternal FC, however, is different.
We were down 2 goals by first half but we fought back.
Instead of dampening our team spirit/morale (by the 2 goals Buffalo had scored), Buffalo had ignited our burning flame of desire and thirst to fight back.
It revealed one trait about us : we have a character, a character that is stubborn (in the context of unwilling to lose easily!) and unceasing give-up attitude.

Goal scorer : Thin Albert
Man of the match : Chris (Albert and Yoko are both quite good candidate today!)
Yes, we under-utilized him in the first half but in the second half (after we repositioned him to the center) , he became a monster and ate all the 'buffalo wings'.
