A message from Phillip:

Dear all Eternals,

First let me congratulate everyone on reaching the Semi-Finals of the Holmes Cup. It is a first for Eternal FC(EFC*). You can't imagine how proud i am of you guys.

Well boys, what can i say? 3 straight wins for any football team is truly a fete. 3 points for the league and consecutive cup matches wins really show how well we can adapt to different games.

Despite how much we've achieved in the last 3 weeks, we still have a lot of hard work ahead of us. We must keep our heads down and continue to maintain this momentum of success. EFC* still has one league match before our bye. The week after we face Gaucho in the Holmes Cup Semi-Finals. The next 3 weeks are vital. We have to get to the top of the table to gain some breathing space and that includes grabbing 3 points from Melbourne FC this weekend.

On our BYE weekend we'll be having practice as usual and i should expect the same enthusiasm as game day. The time i set is 10 am. That means players arrive at 10 to get dressed and ready to warm up by10:15. Those who are late are advised that laps will be involved. Those who wish to miss training without a valid excuse will NOT play in the Semi-Finals Holmes Cup. We have to be in it, to it win it guys, and that means knowing you tried your best; not only during game day but training too. Everyone has been so courteous in contributing faults and problems with the team. So now we have to practice what we preach, boys. We already have done half the work by identifying it, we just need to carry through with it.

We can do it guys. Evidently, we've shown what our team is worth. Other Indo teams are even more so wary of us. We have to remain consistent throughout the year.

All i'm asking is to keep our heads down and continue working hard. Just because we've won a couple of matches doesn't mean we're the best. Remember guys, keep the momentum going. Don't give up, if you're really hungry for a trophy.

Sincerely,
Phillip See

Similaryly, if any one of you has any thought/opinion to share with the team, feel free to email me to post it in the blog. The blog belongs to the team.

We are a team consisting mostly of Indonesian players. We play outdoor games in our home ground, Cliffton Hill and occasionally, we also play indoor games in South Yarra/Caufield.

We can chat endlessly about Premiership and Seria A and most of us, play Winning Eleven(soccer console game)! Indeed, we are passionate about soccer but it doesnt just end there. We are also friends on and off the field who share our fears, hopes, emotions and aspirations.
